Lahic

Lahic is a small but very picturesque village in the Ismailli district of Azerbaijan. The territory is a historical and cultural reserve, which is considered a popular tourist route “Great Silk Road”. Lahic has a 1500-year history. Since ancient times, Lahic has maintained its status as a trade and crafts centre. Here you can find unique, hand-made copper utensils, decorated with engraving in the form of oriental ornaments, knitted and braided items, wood, leather, souvenir knives and more. Ancient methods of making copper products, transmitted from generation to generation, are still used today. In 2015 “The Art of Copper Craft Lahic” was included in the list of non-material cultural heritage of UNESCO.
