Gobustan is a historical and artistic reserve, one of the most famous in the world. It is called an open-air museum, which holds a huge collection of priceless historical exhibits that will attract thousands of tourists every year.
The Reserve was widely known for its well-preserved rock paintings – petroglyphs. The ancient people, during their stay in Gobustan, created more than 6,000 images embossed on the rocks. In 2007, Gobustan was granted the status of a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
